Authentication & API Keys

SofizPay uses two types of keys to authenticate your integration. The Public Key is used for receiving payments via CIB/Edahabiya, while the Secret Key is used for services that send funds from your account.

Public Key

Used to receive CIB/Edahabiya payments. Required as the account parameter in the CIB/Edahabiya payment endpoint.

Secret Key

Used for services that send from your account. Keep this key private and secure at all times.

Getting Your Public Key

Your Public Key is your SofizPay account address. It is required as the account parameter when creating a CIB/Edahabiya payment request. Customers pay into this address when they complete a CIB/Edahabiya transaction.

How to obtain your Public Key:

Open the SofizPay mobile app or visit app.sofizpay.com in your browser.

Tap Receive — you will see your QR code and, below it, your Public Key.

Copy the Public Key by tapping it — paste it as the account value in your integration.

Getting Your Secret Key

Your Secret Key authenticates requests that operate on your account, such as phone recharge, internet recharge, bill payments, and game top-ups. It must be kept confidential and never exposed in client-side code.
